Electricians trained through our certified program to become Advanced Electrical Technicians enjoy a world of opportunity and higher earning potential thanks to new and more advanced systems that are being installed now. Our graduates are qualified to apply for their Texas Apprentice Electrician License and can then be hired into the workforce which consists of small and large electrical service companies and employers in need of an electricians on staff at educational, governmental and business facilities to perform day to day maintenance and installations as well as the diverse residential market.
Electrical Technicians and Electricians have a wide choice of employment opportunities. There are small to large electrical services companies involved in new construction, retrofitting, wiring indoors and outside as subcontractors for developers to work for. There are also, mainly, small to medium sized electrical services companies who work in the residential service sector with new installs, retrofitting and troubleshooting repairs. Additionally, many companies, governmental agencies, education, hospitals and large businesses who have electricians on staff for maintenance and new installations they require all the time.

The median pay per hour before overtime in 2021 was $28.87.
With new digital systems being introduced every year the demand for newly trained Advanced Electrical Technicians is strong. Employment of electricians is projected to grow 9 percent from 2020 to 2030. About 84,700 openings for electricians are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Alternative power generation, such as solar and wind, is an emerging field that requires more recently trained ACI electricians for installation.
